Dr Edmyr M Macabulos Philippine College of Occupational Medicine (PCOM)

EDMYR M. MACABULOS, MD, MPH, FPCOM Dr. Edmyr M. Macabulos is a distinguished physician and leader in occupational and preventive medicine. He earned his medical degree from the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, and completed his Pediatric Residency at the Hospital of the Infant Jesus. He also holds a Master of Public Health and a Diploma in International Health from the University of the Philippines. Leadership & Academics • Occupational Health: He is a fellow, three-term Past National President, and current Specialty Board Chair of the Philippine College of Occupational Medicine (PCOM). He also serves as the National Secretary of the International Commission on Occupational Health (Philippines) and is a DOLE-accredited OSH Practitioner. • St. Luke’s Medical Center College of Medicine: He chairs the Department of Preventive and Community Medicine. He previously led the college's Research Ethics Board, as well as the St. Luke's Medical Center’s OSH Committee and Comprehensive Occupational Health and Environmental Safety Services (COHESS-QC). Humanitarian Work & Accolades Dr. Macabulos is a dedicated humanitarian and former District Governor of Rotary International District 3790. For his extensive volunteer work, he received Rotary's highest individual honor, the “Service Above Self” Award. His major medical accolades include: • The Outstanding Filipino Physicians (TOFP) of 2012 • Outstanding Thomasian in Medicine (2018), awarded by UST • PCOM Lifetime Achievement Award (2024) • Gawad Dr. Gregorio Dizon Award and Occupational Medicine Champion Award (2023)
